Pharm. Abdulmalik Yunusa is an accomplished pharmacist and seasoned healthcare administrator with over two decades of professional experience in hospital pharmacy practice, pharmaceutical management, and public health administration. He was born on 6th April 1971 in Dekina Town, Kogi State, Nigeria.

He obtained his Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) degree from the University of Jos in 1996. Driven by a commitment to continuous professional development, he further earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Policy and Administration from the University of Maiduguri, a Master’s degree in Public Health from Maryam Abacha American University, Niger Republic, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Bayero University, Kano. These academic qualifications have strengthened his expertise in healthcare leadership, policy formulation, and institutional management.

Pharm. Yunusa joined the Federal Medical Center (FMC), Nguru in 2007 and has since demonstrated exceptional dedication and competence, rising through the ranks to the position of Deputy Director of Pharmaceutical Services. In 2023, he was appointed Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Services, where he provides strategic leadership in the coordination of pharmaceutical operations, including oversight of the Drug Revolving Fund and the enhancement of quality service delivery across the facility.

He has made notable contributions to professional development, research, and institutional governance through publications, conference presentations, capacity-building trainings, and active participation in key committees. His exemplary service has been recognized through several commendation letters and prestigious awards, including honors from the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria and other professional bodies, reflecting his integrity, excellence, and commitment to healthcare advancement.

Pharm. Abdulmalik Yunusa is married with children and comes from the family of Alhaji Isah Yunusa and Hajia Zainab Isah Yunusa.
