Hamza Sanusi Abdu, FCNA
Acting Head of Finance and Accounting
Hamza Sanusi Abdu, FCNA, was born on 24 May 1971 and hails from Nguru Local Government Area of Yobe State, Nigeria. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting (1999) and a Master’s degree in Financial Management and Auditing (2017), both obtained from Bayero University, Kano.
He commenced his professional career in 1989 at the Accounts Department of the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing, Maiduguri. He subsequently served at the People’s Bank of Nigeria, Nguru Branch, before joining the Pipelines and Products Marketing Company (PPMC–NNPC) Depot, Oke-Oyi, Ilorin, Kwara State, in 2001. In 2002, he transitioned into academia as a Lecturer I at the College of Administration and Business Studies, Potiskum, Yobe State.
Mr. Abdu is currently the Head of the Finance and Accounts Department at the Federal Medical Centre, Nguru. He is a Fellow of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) and has participated in numerous professional conferences, seminars, and workshops. He is married with children and enjoys reading.
