Mrs. Nanko B. Bingham

She received her primary education at Hwolshe Unity Primary School, Jos, and obtained her O’Level certificate from Government Secondary School, Bwalbwang Gindiri in 1984. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Jos in 1996 and completed her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) at Zaria Congo Conference Hotel, Kaduna State.

Mrs. Bingham joined the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Nguru in July 1999, where she has built a distinguished career marked by steady progression and professional excellence. In 2005, she attended the Nigerian College of Accountancy to further her professional accounting qualifications. She later obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Finance from Bayero University, Kano in 2011. She also holds a certificate in Management in Health from the University of Washington.

Throughout her career at FMC Nguru, she has served in various capacities within the Finance and Accounts Department, rising from the position of Accountant II to Deputy Director. Her roles have included Acting Head of Finance and Accounts, as well as leadership across multiple units within the department. She was subsequently appointed to head the Internal Audit Department, where she continues to play a critical role in strengthening financial controls, accountability, and compliance.

Mrs. Bingham has served on several institutional committees and contributes actively to governance and oversight within the Centre. She currently serves as the Secretary of the Forum of Heads of Internal Audit in Tertiary Health Institutions of Nigeria, a professional body comprising heads of internal audit units across tertiary healthcare institutions nationwide.

She is a devoted wife and mother, balancing professional excellence with family life.
